Chicago White Sox third baseman Todd Frazier made an early exit from Wednesday's afternoon game against the Texas Rangers, leaving in the bottom of the fourth inning with a laceration to the lower lip that required five stitches, which he suffered while diving into the stands in pursuit of a foul ball.

The 30-year-old is listed as day to day.

Frazier appeared to crash face-first into an empty seat in the front row as he chased down Prince Fielder's foul pop-up, and ran straight to the dugout with his glove covering his mouth and nose after the collision.

Before departing, the 30-year-old smacked his 11th homer of the season in the top of the fourth while driving in his 31st run, the second-most in the American League.
